Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine’s Day.  Do you know where it got it’s start?  It’s important to understand the traditions that we are a part of on a wedding day.  Most people have no idea where the cake cutting ceremony originated from, or how the tradition of something old, new, borrowed and blue got it’s start.  Many brides and grooms would NEVER consider doing a garter removal if they really KNEW where that tradition got its start.

Here are a few ideas to make tonight special.

Create a playlist on your significant other’s iPod and have it playing for them tonight when they get home.

Create a Top 10 list of the reasons why you love him or her.

Give her/him a dozen roses and attached a note to each rose with a word describing how you feel about her/him.

When he/she gets home tonight, dance in your living room to your wedding song.

Make his/her favorite meal and have it waiting for her/him when she gets home.

Whatever you do, make it personal, meaningful and special.  You will then help make this Valentine’s Day the best one yet.
